This 14 days tour gives you a chance to visit two countries in Southeast Asia: Myanmar and Vietnam, aiming to provide you an experience of the history, culture, people and traditions that have evolved over the years in these two magnificent countries.
During your first several days of this tour, spend your time to the most famous and essential attractions in Yangon, Mandalay, Amarapura, Bagan, which covers the historical heritages, natural landscapes and local hospitality. Then fly to Saigon, first to discover the Mekong Delta, and move to Hoi An Ancient Town to wander at the ancient and tranquil street. And finally spend your time traveling to see the stunning scenery of Halong Bay.

Day 1: Arrive in Yangon
+ Welcome to Myanmar, the country’s just opened itself to the world and now is waiting people to discover its unique Buddhist culture and heritages.
+ Upon your arrival in Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar but nowadays one of the most developed city in Myanmar, your local guide will welcome you at the airport then escort you to hotel.
+ In the evening, enjoy a Myanmar royal style welcome dinner on a floating boat.
Day 2: Full Day Yangon City Tour
+ Rise early in the morning to visit the Shwedagon Pagoda which which is the largest pagoda with painted real gold in Yangon. As well as visiting the pagoda in early morning, you will enjoy a quiet and extremely peaceful atmosphere to watch local people and monks pray in front of the Pagoda.
+ Transfer back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will visit the Reclining Buddha (Chaok-Htat-Gyi) and Mahabandoola park.
+ Have some rest after lunch, in the afternoon, enjoy some free time wandering around Bogyoke Market, the busy streets near Bogyoke Market, Yangon’s famous China Town and Yangon Jetty. Finish your day off at the riverside where the road flanked by colonized-style buildings which will give you the impression of Myanmar in old time.
Day 3: Flight to Mandalay, Half Day Mandalay City Tour
+ Enjoy free time in the morning until transfer to airport for onward flight to Mandalay. When you arrive in Mandalay, your local guide will meet you in the airport and escort you to hotel.
+ After a rest in the hotel, you will visit Mahamuni Image where you will see local people pray and stick gold paper on the Buddha for blessing. You can also try to make your wish and donate money (buy) for gold paper to stick the gold paper on the statue (only man allowed to stick the gold). On the way to the Mahamuni Image, you will visit a gold paper factory to see how people made the gold leaf. Visit the Shwenandaw Monastery which means ‘Golden Palace Monastery” and was built in 19th century and well known for its teak carving of Buddhist myths. Visit the Kuthodaw Pagoda which is a Buddhist stupa that contains the world’s largest book of Buddhism.
+ Finish your day at the top of Mandalay Hill for a stunning sunset.
Day 4: Full Day Amarapura Tour
+ In the morning, about 30 mins drive to Sagaing, the capital of Sagaing Division in Myanmar and located on the Ayeyarwady River, 20 km to the southwest of Mandalay on the opposite bank of the river. Cross Innwa Bridge, built by British in 1934. Firstly you will visit the Maha Ganayon Kyaung Monastery to see hundreds of monks line up for daily meals at 10:15am. Then visit the U Bein Bridge which is 1.2 kilometers long and is the longest teakwood bridge in the world.
+ Continue to visit Kaung Mu Taw Pagoda; the dome shaped pagoda rises up to 46 meters. At the base of the pagoda there are 812 stone pillars, each one with a hollow and an image of a Nat in it. Continue visit to Sagaing Hill, the hill has a number of small pagodas and with many meditation centers and Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda; it is located on Sagaing Hill. You can stop at monasteries and nunneries and talk with them while taking green tea from hot tea pot and palm-sugar.
+ Lunch at local restaurant in Sagaing and take a short break, then continue visiting Amarapura,”The city of Immortality” situated 11 km to the south of Mandalay and the ancient temple of Pahtodawgyi which was built in 1820 in the Inva ancient town.
+ Drive back to Mandalay and rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 5: Flight to Bagan, Half Day City Tour
+ Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Bagan in early morning.
+ Upon arrival in Bagan, you will be welcomed by your local guide at the airport then transfer you to hotel.
+ In Bagan, you will be amazed by its thousands of Buddhists pagodas spread in the area of the Ancient City of ‘Bagan’. These pagodas used to be owned by individual families during their prosperous time.
+ Your will visit the Nyaung Oo Market where local people buying food in daily life, visit the Shwezigon Pagoda which is the largest pagoda in Bagan painted with real gold.
+ Have a rest in hotel in the hottest time in afternoon. Then enjoy a Horse Cart Ride for the sunset, you will climb up to the top of the Shesandaw Pagoda for sunset then take the horse cart back to hotel. It is an unforgettable feeling of taking the horse cart ride on the off road treks through the pagodas when it’s quiet in dusk.
Day 6: Flight to Heho, Inle Lake
+ Transfer to airport for onward flight to Heho where you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel by the lakeside of Inle Lake.
+ Inle Lake locates in the highland of Myanmar in an altitude of around 3,000 feet above sea level. Here you will enjoy different atmosphere and ambience from middle part of Myanmar.
+ After check in hotel, enjoy your day at leisure to relax.
Day 7: Full Day Inle Lake Excursion
+ Today take an excursion by a long tail boat to see the life of In-tha (name of local ethnic people live on the lake), to discover their unique floating farms and life on floating village. You will also see how the local fishers catching fishes with only one leg paddling the boat and the Long Neck Ladies who were relocated from the Myanmar and Thailand border.
+ Rest of the day is at leisure to relax.
Day 8: Flight to Yangon, Continue international flight to Saigon
+ Transfer to airport for onward flight to Yangon then continue with the international flight to Saigon, the economic center of Vietnam in the South.
+ Upon arrival in Saigon, you will meet your local guide in the airport and then escort to hotel.
+ In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner on the cruise ship sailing along the Saigon river where you will enjoy the beautiful night scenery of Saigon.
+ Rest of day is at leisure.
Day 9: Full Day My Tho (Bentre)—Discover Mekong Delta
+ Enjoy a full day tour from Saigon to My Tho to discover the Mekong River Delta, which is widely known as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam. You will take a private boat tour through the water coconut forest to center of Mekong Delta, enjoy a biking tour (about 1 hour) to discover the villages and a sampan trip through the narrow canals.
+ Transfer back to Saigon in the afternoon.
Day 10: Full Day Saigon City Tour, Flight to Hoi An
+ In the morning, you will visit the Cu Chi Tunnel to see the complicate tunnel system Vietnamese people built in the war time. In the afternoon, drive back to the city and visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office, the Chinatown of the city with the Emperor Jade Pagoda (Phuoc Hai).
+ Fly to Danang and check in hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 11: Full Day My Son Heritage, Hoi An Ancient Town
+ Visit the My Son Sanctuary in the morning to discover the ruined temple which was built in the 4th century. When drive back to Hoi An, visit the historical Hoi An Ancient Town including the colorful local market, the Tan Ky Old House, Fukien Assembly Hall and the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge. You can also visit the local residents raising silkworms and producing silk for Hoi An’s burgeoning textile industry.
+ In the evening, the local people will hang up the red lanterns, it will give you the feeling of traveling back to ancient time.
Day 12: Flight to Hanoi
+ Enjoy the morning free on your own to be relax. In the afternoon, fly to Hanoi in the afternoon.
+ Upon you arrive in Hanoi, you guide will pick you up from airport and escort you to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
