AM: depart hotel for Thu Bon wharf on Bach Dang street where you will take a local ferry sailing 3km along Thu Bon River to Tra Nhieu fishing village. In the village, have a walk along the winding paths around local garden houses shaded by scented betel-nut trees and you will be given a brief introduction to the history and traditional handicrafts of the village such as: farming, fishing, poultry and livestock breeding, sleeping mat making.
Then, enjoy a boat trip with the local fisherman to learn how to cast a net, catch fish, shrimp and crab. A well-earned lunch follows with special dishes at a local house.
PM: Embark to the boat and stream along Thu Bon River to visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village. Thanh Ha Pottery Village has over 500 years of history from the establishing period up to now. With the gifted hands of the craftmen, they create the products with different shapes. Here, we will observe the necessary steps used for producing pottery products such as vases, pots and kettles. After learning about pottery making, then continue the cruise to Kim Bong Carpentry Village. You will listen to the history of Kim Bong, go to the shipbuilding yards, then observing the making process of artisans here. The handicrafts and sculptures are “must-see” things in Kim Bong. Cruise back to dock and transfer to hotel.
