3 DAYS MAI CHAU – PU LUONG RESERVE CENTRE TREKKING TOUR

DAY 1: HANOI – MAU CHAU VALLEY (L/D)

7.30-8.00 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi, head out for Mai Chau. Stop along the way to visit the Muong tribe and then at Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley. Arrive at Pom Coong village after 4 hour driving, have an authentic lunch with a local family of the White Thai Tribe and discovering the natural beauty of the village.

PM: drive around 1 hour before set of for our hiking through the beauty of Pu Luong natural Reserve. It is intermediate level with Walking amidst rice fields and mountains, crossing small villages where we’ll get to see the traditional daily life of the locals all around us in this natural paradise. Arrive at Thai homestay in late afternoon. Relax or help preparing the evening meal to learn about the local cuisine and culture. After dinner, enjoy a traditional dance and music performance of the villagers. Stay overnight in Thai still  house in Pu Luong.

DAY 2: HIDDEN TRAIL PULUONG TREK – KHO MUONG VILLAGE (B/L/D)

Walk up early this morning is recommended to have chance to witness the beauty of nature and the true taste for rural Vietnamese life.

AM: enjoy breakfast made by the local Thai people. Start the 5-6 hours of trekking, containing some steep climbs, exciting river crossings and get to see absolutely stunning views of the valley and rice terraces, rain forests and streams within from your high vantage point.
A picnic lunch will be served when you reach Hin Village,

PM: continuing on to Hieu Village, considered by many to be the most aesthetically beautiful rural village in all of Vietnam. Finally we’ll reach Kho Muong village, where you can spend your time freely, either by strolling around the village and talking to locals, or relaxing in the eco-homestay set up by FFI (Flora and Fauna International) in conjunction with the local communities.
At night you’ll have time to drink and socialize with the friendly locals amidst the tranquil ambiance of Kho Muong, before turning in for the night in a traditional Thai style stilt house.

DAY 3: PHO DOAN VILLAGE – HANOI (B/L)

AM: start another 3 hours of trekking, or around 5 to 7 kilometres with a nice easy stretch, giving a chance to relax and connect with friendly local villagers
After a short rest in Hieu Village, conquer some steep climbs and even more thrilling river crossings, before the valley opens up into fantastic views from your elevated position. Then heading to Pho Doan Village. Take a short rest and walk to main road to take transfer back to Hanoi. Arriving at your hotel in Hanoi late afternoon.
