4 DAYS YOK DON NATIONAL PARK TREKKING & CAMPING

DAY 1: BUON MA THUOT ARRIVAL – YOK DON NATIONAL PARK (L/D)

Meet on arrival at Buon Ma Thuot /Buon Ma Thuot airport and transfer to Yok Don national park

Yok Don National Park is known as one of the largest parks of Vietnam with the covering of 115.545 hectares, trek (6 hours 14 kilometers) deep into the forest to detect its varied flora and fauna system. Take a picnic lunch in the forest.

PM: Continue the trek to the camp site (close by a river), set up tents or hammock, collect woods for a fire. Then we make dinner with tour guide. Enjoy dinner with herbaceous plants and local dishes collected in the forest.

Evening: might take a short stroll (half an hour) to appreciate the character throughout the night time (a flash – mild is demanded). Overnight in the hammocks or tents.

DAY 2: YOK DON NATIONAL PARK (B/L/D)

AM: pack up and continue the trek up to Yok Don Mountain’s Peak (468m). It’s about 3 kilometers of hiking up to the top of this mountain = 2 hours). Enjoy great views with trees and flora system of tropics open dry forest. Off the mountain’s peak. Then we have a picnic lunch.

PM: Continue the trek (about 8 kilometers) to Dak’ Lau Stream, arrive in the the camp site, set up stalls or hammock, collect woods for a fire. We may go fishing and make dinner with our guide.

Enjoy dinner with herbaceous plants and local dishes collected from the forest. (swimming is possible). Overnight in the hammocks or tents.

DAY 3: YOK DON NATIONAL PARK – DON VILLAGE – BUON MA THUOT (B/L/D)

AM: pack up and continue the trek (8 kilometers) to discover natural wild-lives. Take an elephant ride (one hour) before having picnic lunch nearby the S’repok Riverside.

PM: take an engined – boat (one hour 8 kilometers) go up-stream on the S’repok River to enjoy the beautiful landscapes and also to wit the daily routine activities of the occupants along the river-sides such as king-fisher, oriole, drongo…. Then take a local boat trip to visit Yang Lanh Village, have interaction with local ethnic people and learn about their multi-cultures as well as the traditional traditions among the different ethnic groups of the Ede, M’nong, & Laos. Visit the plantations of pepper and coffee… on the way back to Buon Ma Thuot. Overnight at hotel in Buon Ma Thuot

DAY 4: BUON MA THUOT – DEPARTURE (B)

Time at leisure until transfer to Buon Ma Thuot /Buon Ma Thuot airport for departure flight.
