FULL DAY HIGHLIGHTS OF SOC TRANG BAC LIEU TOUR

AM: pick up at your hotel to depart 64km for Soc Trang province well knows as a place of amazing food, lovely people and hidden Khmer cultures. It might take you almost an hour to arrive there by car.

First stop is a visit to incredible Clay Pagoda, formal name Buu Son Tu, Chu Dat Set or Clay Pagoda which is located at the heart of Soc Trang is one of the most famous destinations in this province. With the history of more than 200 years ago, this pagoda is now run by members of the Ngo family’s fourth generation. Unassuming from the outside since it resembles more of a resident house than a pagoda, but it is highly unusual in that nearly every object inside is made entirely of clay. With four pairs of giant candles that weigh 200kg each burning before 1975 until now, made one of the well-known things for this pagoda.

Next stop is Chua Doi (also known as Bat Pagoda or Wat Mahatup), one of the most sacred and mystical pagoda in Soc Trang to all of local people here. With a distance about 4km from Soc Trang City, Chua Doi,  built around the 16th century is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kampuchea-Krom having first built over 400 years ago. The pagoda is home to huge century-old trees and many huge bats each one is about 1kg in weight and with a wing-span of 1m to 1.5m. When the bats on the way to search for food, they made the bustling which people said like an invocation of the blessing of the bats from the Buddha. The story about pigs with five hoofs for over 20 years also made this temple more attractive and mysterious. 11:30 am have lunch at the local restaurant with the typical cuisine of the Mekong Delta. 

PM: After lunch, continue to visit Paem Buôl Thmây Pagoda (also known as Sung Dinh Pagoda) in the heart of Soc Trang City. The pagoda presents a magnificent architecture of Khmer and Thailand

Then, depart to explore the bird sanctuary wildlife landscape very naturally as a great home for thousands of birds are staying here. On your arrival, you will then get on the long tail boat to slowly and slowly turn into each part of the forest to immerse yourselves into the natural environment of Mekong Delta, before seeing the wildlife of birds right on boat and bird watching tower. And the long rice field next to the forest.

Disembark and transfer back to Can Tho city
