NORTHERN HIGHLIGHTS OF PHU QUOC ISLAND

AM: Pick up at hotel and start to discover the North of Phu Quoc island – the largest island in Vietnam and is home to a wealth of beautiful beaches, lush forests and mountains. Start the tour with an introduction to a few of Phu Quoc’s culinary delights: fish sauce, sim wine, and pepper. Phu Quoc’s fish sauce is one of the most-loved products on the island as well as throughout Vietnam. Discover a factory to learn how local people produce and store fish sauce in what resembles a brewery. Next up is a sim wine factory where you’ll find out how the wine here is made from sim fruit and sample some of the produce if you like. Next up, Phu Quoc pepper is renowned for being the best pepper in Vietnam and you’ll visit a pepper farm for a fascinating insight into its transformation from plant to pepper pot. You’ll learn how local people carefully cultivate their pepper garden to produce the very best pepper and, of course, you can purchase some if you wish. Then depart for Duong Dong Harbor. Sail along the west coast of Phu Quoc, and get panoramic views of the island on the way to a 30-minute hands-on fishing adventure. Then, snorkel at the furthest northern tip of Turtle Island and discover the colorful underwater world at leisure. Enjoy a delicious lunch and fresh tropical fruits on board the boat, and then sail to Finger Island for another chance to snorkel amongst the unspoiled coral reefs. Top up your tan as you sail back to harbor.

PM: Next visit will be historical and cultural places – Nguyen Trung Truc Temple, dedicated to the most revered hero of Vietnam who fought against French colonialism in the 1800’s. Then visit to the most highlighted attraction of the town – 300 years old Cau Temple. After this, get back to nature by visiting the westernmost point of the island, the stunning Ganh Dau Cape. Enjoy views of the sparkling sea and Cambodian mainland on a clear day before relaxing and having lunch on the soft white sand of Vung Bau Beach. After your northern discovery, you’ll be dropped off back at your hotel.
